Repair & Revitalization

Asphalt Cracking

Cracks in the pavement can allow water to penetrate and cause further damage. Crack sealing is performed by filling the cracks with a specialized sealant that helps prevent water infiltration and further cracking. This method helps extend the life of the pavement by protecting it from moisture and reducing the risk of larger cracks or potholes forming. Sealing cracks early can prevent water infiltration and significantly increase the life of your pavement.

Potholes & Deep Base Repairs

Patching is used to repair localized areas of damage, such as potholes, cracks, or small surface defects. The damaged area is cleaned, and a suitable asphalt patching material is applied and compacted to restore the pavement's integrity. Cold patch asphalt or hot mix asphalt can be used for patching, depending on the climate and availability.

In cases where the pavement is severely deteriorated or the base materials are compromised, full-depth replacement may be required. This involves removing the existing pavement and base materials down to the subgrade and constructing a new pavement from the ground up, including proper compaction of the base layers and new asphalt surface.

Overlay

Resurfacing, also known as an overlay, involves applying a new layer of asphalt over the existing pavement. It is suitable when the surface has extensive cracking, minor rutting, or general wear and tear. Prior to resurfacing, any necessary repairs or leveling of the existing pavement may be performed. The new layer provides a fresh, smooth surface and improves the pavement's appearance and performance.

It's important to note that the appropriate repair method will depend on the specific condition of the pavement and the recommendations of a qualified professional. Consulting with PavePros can help determine the most suitable repair approach for your particular situation.
